We build these imaginary walls around us holding on to the belief that we are separate from each other. In fact, all these walls do is keep us imprisoned. When did we stop worrying about each other? When did it stop burdening our own consiousnesses that our neighbors were doing without? When did we stop crying with each other? Or, lose the desire to make things just a little bit better for someone else? Have we really ventured that far away from connecting to each other?

Our humanity gives us a material bond, our spirituality gives us a cosmic and energetic bond. We can plan on feeding the world, being the catalyst for world peace, even eradicating poverty…but, what about tending to the lonely soul who lives next door, or a simple smile shared with someone who undoubtedly might need it…small gestures can lead to big changes. Right now, change is exactly what we need.
